Very scarce N559 Lake Erie Tobacco Company “State Governors” issued in either 1887 or 1888 with their Ivory Long Cut product. The set includes governors of states and territories, as well as President Grover Cleveland.
The backs of these cards can vary in color: see the two Morehouse examples below. The superb lithography is credited to Johns & Co. in Cleveland, the same city where the tobacco company was located.
