24-card set issued in 1912 with Honest Long Cut and Miners Extra brands. Notoriously difficult to find in better than VG; most examples have creases or staining or both. The four baseball players (Cobb, Marquard, Baker, Bender) are always in big demand, as well as the famous boxer Jack Johnson. The other cards portray athletes and horses and speedboats that are now largely forgotten.
David Bruce-Brown, a driver, and C.P. Rodgers, an aviator, both died in 1912 and their cards stopped being issued. These cards are true rarities and always go for big money when available.
